I was born in Russia and from a very young age I was strongly influenced by art. My uncle was a well-known artist in my region whose work was exhibited both locally and internationally. I started my art education in Russia and in 2005 immigrated to New Zealand where I have been living in Diamond Harbour.
I continue to study and practice art, working with watercolour and acrylic along with different materials and fabrics.
I love the challenge of using what I find to create something entirely different. For me creating art is about being able to feel free to be spontaneous.
I have worked with a few artists and my work has been exhibited nationally. I have also been involved in the creative restoration of a Russian Orthodox Church in Christchurch where I worked on the Frescoes, mural paintings, mosiacs and wood carving.
